Meet Elliott
Elliott Herneker is a lifelong Harford County resident and candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates in District 34A.
He graduated from Harford Technical High School, earned an associate degree in political science from Harford Community College, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
Elliott works as a supervisor at UPS in Aberdeen, where he has spent the past five years working directly with and alongside members of the local community.
Family means everything to Elliott, and he believes the values learned at home. Hard work, responsibility, loyalty, and service; should guide leadership in public office.
He currently serves as Chairman of the Harford County Young Republicans and previously interned for Governor Larry Hogan’s U.S. Senate campaign.
Elliott is running to bring a practical, results-driven approach to Annapolis and ensure Harford County families have a strong voice in state government.
ROOTED IN HARFORD COUNTY
Elliott was born and raised in Harford County, where he grew up surrounded by the values of hard work, community, and pride in where you live. From a young age, he saw firsthand what makes Harford County special. Tight-knit neighborhoods, strong schools, and families who look out for one another.
Those experiences shaped his commitment to preserving the character of the community while making sure future generations have the same opportunities to live and succeed here.
WORKING FOR THE COMMUNITY
Elliott has spent years working at UPS in Aberdeen, where he currently serves in a leadership role. In this position, he works directly with employees and community members every day, gaining a firsthand understanding of the challenges working families face.
His experience in the workforce, not in politics, has shaped his practical, results-driven approach. He understands the importance of reliable jobs, fair opportunities, and policies that support people trying to build a better life.
PUBLIC SERVICE & LEADERSHIP
Elliott has built his leadership experience through active involvement in the Harford County community. As Chairman of the Harford County Young Republicans, he works to connect with residents, support local efforts, and encourage greater civic engagement.
His experience also includes working on Governor Larry Hogan’s U.S. Senate campaign, where he gained insight into how policy decisions impact communities across Maryland.
These experiences have reinforced his belief that leadership should be practical, responsive, and focused on delivering real results for the people it serves.
